Wetland Conservation & Community Adaptation
Restoring haor ecosystem balance through community-led conservation and climate-smart biodiversity practices.
Rapid mobilization of a cross-agency logistics network that connected isolated flood-affected communities with life-saving relief supplies across Sylhet Division within 48 hours.
During the devastating 2022 floods in Sylhet Division, Daahuk rapidly mobilized a logistics network that connected relief supplies with isolated communities cut off by rising waters. This emergency response initiative demonstrated the power of community-based disaster preparedness, leveraging existing cooperative networks to establish efficient supply chains where traditional infrastructure had failed.
Our approach prioritized the most vulnerable — pregnant women, elderly individuals, and children — ensuring that critical supplies reached those in greatest need within 48 hours of deployment.
A structured approach ensures sustainable outcomes and community ownership at every stage.
